Creating the space you never knew you needed.

A house is not just a house...it's a home. It's for you, your family and your loved ones. It's a place to honour and a place to be proud of. So why not create something wonderful so that when you are in it you really feel it.

My background for the last 6 years has been interiors so this has been a fun project for me going in to a new property that we actually own and being able to start from scratch. It's also been a marvellous distraction from a fairly heavy time in Victoria.

We have a large master bedroom in our new house. It's ridiculously wonderful and piece by piece it has become a sanctuary that I never knew I needed for myself and for my family. It oozes serenity. Sunshine pours in the windows, there are different spaces to sit and enjoy and as soon as I walk in there I am overwhelmed by a feeling of love. Love for the space.

I am a creative. So keeping things around me to inspire is essential. Things that inspire me can be quite simple. Fresh air, music, colour, greenery, being able to hear birds sing and beautiful furniture and decor to complete the look.

This cosy nook is a work in progress. I plan to have an artwork or a canvas collage hanging on this wall so the walls aren't so blank. It overlooks our backyard through some double doors just to the right of that curtain.

Then there is this magical spot.

When we first looked at this house I knew we needed a cool and comfy sofa to fill this space and the iconic Togo Large Settee and footstool (so excited to own these) were a perfect fit. The rest actually came together quite naturally blending all the things I love but still keeping a minimalist vibe.

I'm also hoping that the fact my guitar is within an arms length means it won't gather as much dust!

It's been so fun putting this room together and I thank Dean for allowing me to creatively control the process and love it as much as me - he's still a keeper!

I thought I would share this with you as funnily enough no one has actually seen or been in our new home since we moved 2 months ago #covidlife

I will continue to share different spaces with you as we complete them. It's a slow process but it's a bloody fun one.

Do you have a place where you can hang out in your home that relaxes you? Away from technology and somewhere you can be with yourself to switch off. Does it look and feel how you want it too? If not, let's make it happen.
