Covid...am I right?
It has been almost 2 months since my last blog.
In my head when planning to do this thing I was all, yep imma post every week if not twice a week and then came life.
Since starting this blog I have been approached to write and create content for others which has been an incredible thing I did not expect.
We packed up our bayside life, I said farewell to my work, we said farewell to our people - from a social distance of course and got out of Melbourne just before shit got real! The relocate to Geelong has been smooth although a very weird time to be alive as i'm sure you will all agree.
We are slowly setting up a life in a town that we can only see from a distance and can't really explore. We have incredibly kind neighbours who all up we have probably spoken to collectively for 5 minutes because that's the norm right now. We moved to be closer to the surf coast to spend time at the beach and we can't. Let alone hang out with our families and friends. There are a lot of things to be excited about but everything is peppered with a bit of sadness. I feel guilty even thinking about being excited about things when there is so much pain in the world and in Victoria right now.
Anyone else feeling disconnected from themselves? With all the other things occupying space in our heads it's hard to focus. I'm not sad or depressed but I don't feel 100% me. I am talking to my people. I have two girls that I spend my days with that love me - one human, one dog. I am certainly not alone but I know that I did need to take a moment to listen and work my way through everything that is going on in my own way for sanity and wellbeing.
So that's exactly what i've been doing and I feel better for it. There's no shame in taking a breathe.
So for now, i'm gonna leave this here and yes there will be many more up beat pieces to follow. I can't wait to share more of our adventures with you.
