Reflecting on 2019.

2019 started heavily pregnant and hot.

I had no idea the amazing adventure I was about to go on but 11 months later I couldn't be happier at where we are at and what we have achieved as a family.

I have always loved taking time to reflect on things, it can be overwhelming but incredibly heartwarming.

Motherhood has taught me so much.

I have learnt incredible patience, I have loved stronger than I thought possible and there has been lots of tears (both happy and sad). My relationship with Dean has entered a new level now as parents I feel I appreciate him even more and we bond together on how cute Frankie is. Our family unit is tight!

New friendships have blossomed.

The women I have met this year through Mothers group and through my local Highett community have been incredible. All going through the same life transition and all supportive with non judgement! Not only has this been a good sounding board for all things babies but it has stopped any isolation that could have happened quite easily if I had let it.

Focusing on the things that bring me happiness and joy.

It can be hard to stop doing things that you feel are in your blood but sometimes to take a step back can be the healthiest thing for you. This is the case for me and I am both grateful for all opportunities I have had with my business to date but am also happy to bless and release for now. 2020 will be about creativity and community. I'm not sure what this looks like yet but stay tuned to find out. I am grateful.
