The move or not to move.

Relocation to the coast has been on our minds for about 18 months.

Real estate is expensive, especially in the bayside area, and renting has not done us many favours in the past few years. To own a home is our dream and we don't want to overextend or compromise on our wishlist. Should familiar?

So again we have asked ourselves the question. Should we relocate and buy a home?

My family has a history in Geelong. My Dad and his family grew up in Geelong. My Aunt currently lives there and my parents have a holiday house in Anglesea. No brainer right? But then comes the pang of leaving my network of people and inspirations. I know that I will remain connected to the people that add value to my life and meet new people which is always exciting.

Some of the moments I visualise: Waking up to the smell of the sea.

Walking around the corner to my Aunt's home.

Playing in the park across the street with new friends.

Talking to our neighbours and offering a hand where we can. Slowing down, taking a breath away from the big smoke, and opening my mind to a new level of creativity.

Weekends spent at Anglesea with family, sand between our toes, Frankie squealing and running from the waves.

We could create something truly wonderful and that in itself is exciting. A fresh start. Our door will always be open to our people. Come, stay awhile and take a load off.

Melbourne, I couldn't leave you if I tried, if this relocate happens I'll be back often.

COVID for us has been the ultimate reset button. Going back to basics figuring out what is important, and working towards that.

Has this time made you realise what's important to you? Does it include something that might be a bit scary? Something a bit compelling?

Now is the time xo
